Mumbai, October 2013: Spreading festive cheer this season, Advitya – A creative centre for the mentally challenged will display for the second consecutive year a three day Pre Diwali exhibition cum sale of hand-made products including diyas, festive envelopes, paper lanterns, gift bags diaries etc. All Diwali products are made by the students of Advitya using excess surplus fabric and raw material sourced from And Designs India Ltd- fashion house spearheaded by Anita Dongre with brands like AND, Global Desi and Anita Dongre- resulting in beautifully embellished and quality products which not only make for ideal Diwali gifts but also add lots of cheer and joy to the lives of these young creative minds!
About Advitya
Advitya is an organization that seeks to provide vocational training to differently-abled individuals with a view to keep them occupied through creative work. These are students above the age of 18 who are unable to continue in other special schools due to their need for individual attention, age or behavioural problems. Dancing, singing & yoga is also a part of their regime besides making gift products.
