8 Indian companies participate in CeBIT Australia 2014

–   India has been a prominent participant in CeBIT events around the world

Bangalore/India. The Indian Industry will again play a major role in CeBIT, Australia which is taking place from 5 to 7 May 2014 in Sydney. CeBIT is the world’s leading B2B exhibtion which takes place in Hannover, Australia, Brazil, Turkey and will debut in India this year.

Over 8 companies are present at the Australia event, including Neosoft /Webwerks, Cyber Intel, Pixel, Mobile Pandit, OMR India, Intelgain, Cyber Infrastructure and Embarc to name a few. Mr Shri M F Farooqui, Secretary Telecom, Department of Telecommunications, Shri R K Pathak, Deputy Director General, Department of Telecommunications and Mr Biren Nanda, Indian High Commissioner are some of the key delegates who have traveled from India to Sydney for the event.

The CeBIT Australia 2014 conference program is designed to help attendees navigate the fast-changing technology landscape by putting the spotlight on innovative trends and current developments in the ICT industries. This year, the show will provide an inclusive coverage of the following themes: Big Data, Cloud, Enterprise Mobility, Cyber Security, eHealth and WebForward

India, being at the forfront of the global Technology lanscape will, as before, play a crucuial role through exhibitions and executive visits to the event.

Since its premiere in 2002, CeBIT Australia has hosted more than 310,000 visitors from over 100 countries, 91 business delegations and more than 6,000 exhibitors from 36 nations.  Now in its 13th year, CeBIT Australia 2014 will host more than 500 national and international exhibitors, attract over 30,000 visitors and will be attended by more high profile business and government decision makers than any other event in the region.

In 2012 India was the partner country to CeBIT Australia, and more than 70 Indian companies attended the event that year. India also participated at CeBIT Hannover in March 2014, and was attended by Indian delegates such as Shri J. Satyanarayana, Secretary, DeitY, Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Shri P.K Kunhalikutty, IT Minister, Govt. of Kerala, K.R Gururaja Roa, Chairman &Managing Director, Gujrat Informatics Limited and Shri Abhishek Mishra, Minister of State, Minister of Science and Technology Uttar Pradesh. An Indian company named Crayon Data, founded by two graduates from IIM-Calcutta in 2012, was selected as one of the top 50 finalists shortlisted for the Code_n Awards in Europe’s largest technology showcase CeBIT Hannover 2014.

Deutsche Messe AG announced the debut of CeBIT to India early this year, a tailor-made show to suit the Indian IT industry needs and demands. The India event would be the only CeBIT show to be held in Asia this year. CeBIT India will be held in Bengaluru from 12 to 14 November 2014. In addition to the trade show, CeBIT India will also bring to India the CeBIT Global Conferences Program of world leading conferences, workshops and keynotes from Global Thought Leaders. The theme for CeBIT India 2014 is “New perspectives in IT Business”.
