Indian botanical garden located in Howrah, Kolkata and it is known for wide variety of trees and flowers. It was established in the year 1787 by Colonel Robert Kyd. The main attraction of the garden is the Banyan tree that is the largest in the world and having circumference 330 meters. This garden is rich in palm trees, coconut, orchids, water lilies, and shivlinga tree. It was dedicated to the very famous Indian botanist Jagadish Chandra Bose in the year 2009.

Garden of Agri Horticultural Society of India, Kolkata:

Garden of Agri horticultural society of India is the other place in Kolkata where you can see the variety of flowers and medicinal plants. It is founded in the year 1820 by William Carey. Canna lily or cannas are the main attractions of the garden. It is also known for its winter flower show and this show attracts flower lovers from the different part of the country as well as from the world.
