On 9th November 1989 the whole world witnessed the immense happiness of the people after the fall of the Berlin wall. Twenty-five years later after the most significant event in recent German history, innumerous celebrations in commemoration take place all over the world.
On that occasion, the German Consulate-General Kolkata is organising a ‘Freedom Walk’ on Friday 7th November 2014 to celebrate and reflect on the historical event.
The ‘Walk’ will be held at Agri-Horticulture Society of India (1 Alipore Road, Kolkata 700027, entry from Alipore Road gate) from 1200h to 1245h.
Numerous students from several German partner schools (PASCH) in Kolkata will walk together with the Consulate staff and other German nationals.
