Gianfranco Ferré

Under Another Light. Jewels and Ornaments

Edited by Rita Airaghi

Artistic Direction by Luca Stoppini

A new catalogue focuses on a unique and little-known aspect of the creative versatility of fashion designer Gianfranco Ferré: his use of jewels and ornaments
Skira Editore presents this new catalogue with a unique focus on Gianfranco Ferré’s use of jewellery in his creative oeuvre. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition at Palazzo Madama in Turin — which is showcasing, for the first time, some two hundred jewels, many illustrated by Andrea Passuello — Gianfranco Ferré: Under Another Light. Jewels and Ornaments testifies to the legitimacy of jewellery in the work of Italy’s “architect of fashion”.

Including more than 100 colour photographs and with art direction by Vogue Italia’s Luca Stoppini, the catalogue is strengthened, too, by the work of Francesca Alfano Miglietti, the exhibition curator, art theorist and critic, and by Anna Maria Stillo Castro, a scholar of fashion and costume history.

The third in a series — after Gianfranco Ferré: Drawings and Gianfranco Ferré: The White Shirt According to Me — Under Another Light offers a unique interpretation of Ferré’s work and is a musthave for jewellery designers and fashion lovers.
