66000+ Sellers from 200+ cities receive orders in first 2 days

Snapdeal’s revenue from Sellers ads grows 5 times

 New Delhi, 3^rd October 2016: Snapdeal, India’s largest online marketplace revealed that more than 66,000 unique sellers spread across 200+ cities and towns across India have received orders in the first two days of its Unbox Diwali Sale. Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Surat, Mumbai, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Tirupur were the top seller cities during this period.

Snapdeal’s newly launched ‘Seller Store platform’ which allows sellers to customize their store’s appearance and choose widgets for their Snapdeal page has also seen an overwhelming response. Rolled out last week, more than 9000 sellers have already started using this platform.

Snapdeal’s advertising platform also witnessed a 5X surge in revenue as sellers rode high on the festive demand.

Anubhav Gupta, from RIGO International, a seller of men’s fashion said, “I have been working very closely with my Snapdeal account manager over the last 3-4 weeks. We have assessed how much response would be driven from consumers, what kind of designs / trends would be in demand. Basis this, we had our stock ready for the Diwali sale. We have just entered the sale period and I have already seen my sale jump by 4 times.”

Snapdeal’s brand partners also hailed the response to Unbox Diwali Sale.
