Mumbai, March 05, 2018: Project Management Institute (PMI) India, the world’s leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the project management profession, has announced nominations for PMI India Awards 2018. PMI has been administering these awards in India since 2009 to honor excellence in the project management community.

PMI India Awards Program is well recognized by Industry, Government, NGOs and project practitioners as the most prestigious award for projects and the project management community in India. The PMI Awards 2018 has been divided in six categories that recognizes and honours a project team that has delivered superior results through exemplary application of project management principles.

1. Project of the year – Contribution to the Community
2. Project of the year – NGO
3. Category Large – A project or program or similar initiative which has budget project cost of more than INR 1,000 crores
4. Category Medium – A project or program or similar initiative which has budget project cost between INR 100 crores to INR 1,000 crores
5. Category Small  –  A project or program or similar initiative which has budget project cost less than INR 100 crores but more than INR Five crores
6. Category Micro – A project or program or similar initiative which has budget project cost less than INR 5 crores but more than INR Fifty lakhs

Each category will have maximum of one winner and one runner- up. The winners will be announced at the Project Management National Conference 2018, in New Delhi to be held in October.

The application process is divided in two stages – Preliminary and Final. In the preliminary stage, nominee will have to submit brief information about the nomination before April 30th, 2018. In the final stage, the shortlisted nominee is required to submit detailed information about the project before June 30th, 2018.

New Delhi, July 03, 2017: As a part of its consistent endeavors to provide global exposure to Indian entrepreneurs, The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) has initiated the process for Indian start-ups to participate in Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technology (CEATEC) 2017. The initiative which attracts almost 150 thousand visitors will be conducted in partnership with Japan – IoT Acceleration Consortium (ITAC) and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

ITAC, which was established in October last year, is a framework between government, industry and academia for IoT business promotion in Japan. It aims to extend financial, regulatory and business matching support to Indian start-ups. As of May 2017, ITAC has 3,000 participating companies, with support committee members like Google, Microsoft, Intel, Accenture, Apple, Bosch, GE and many others.

Similar to CEATEC 2016, ten Indian start-ups will be selected to participate in Japan’s largest IT and electronics exhibition and conference, themed ‘IoT and Innovation’ to be held from October 3^rd 2017. The event offers innovative new solutions to the issues facing society, contributing to progress at the community level and to improved lifestyles at the individual level. The ten shortlisted Indian start-ups will receive a fully funded trip to Japan, along with an Exhibition Booth to display their products to potential investors, partners, enterprises and customers. Larger companies and SMEs will also be participating in CEATEC 2017 under the NASSCOM led India pavilion.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. R. Chandrashekhar, President, NASSCOM said, “A platform like CEATEC has been a great contributor to the Indian start-up journey. This initiative is a key milestone for India and Japan to come together to build a robust ecosystem of collaboration. First nomination, LiveTalk, was an interactive Live audio streaming solution over a normal phone call. BJP chose LiveTalk to increase its reach and enhance engagement. Mobile penetration in India is 70% of the total population, which is much higher as compared to traditional media. Also, an average Indian carries his mobile phone 99% of the time, which made LiveTalk an optimum solution. The Voice Recognition feature delivered (on-demand) Mr. Narendra Modi’s thoughts on important issues, 24×7. Although its primary objective was to reach media dark regions, it also attracted the users who couldn’t attend rallies for any reason, or temporarily didn’t have access to traditional media.

The selection process for nominations varies between awards. In most cases nominations are requested via the appropriate membership committee and the worldsteel extranet.
