India, October 14, 2013: Serco, the international services company has been recognized at the prestigious EMC Transformers Awards for its deployment of a Storage Consolidation solution. This award was conferred at a gala awards ceremony held in Mumbai.  The EMC Transformers Awards identify and recognize the changes being brought in Indian enterprises through the smart and judicious use of IT.

Developed in-house, Serco’s deployment comprised a data storage solution for a distributed environment intended to reduce consumption of all power consuming factors of Servers, Storage Boxes, a ‘Go Green’ initiative indeed.  BPO/ITES organizations have the seemingly impossible task of supporting high percentage of annual storage growth while facing challenges around reducing their total cost of doing business. This solution provides a discrete data centre and network across all locations and various platforms meant to reduce power consumption and data storage.
