A delegation led by Chief Secretary, Govt. of Odisha, Mr.Bijay K Patnaik and comprising of Secretaries from departments of Tourism, IT and Energy of Govt. of Odisha as well as senior officials from the state undertakings promoting infrastructure, trade and commerce will visit Singapore as part of a roadshow to attract investment to the state. The team will also comprise of about 30 entrepreneurs from the state.
The delegation will take part in a One day Business Summit Invest Bhubaneswar…Connecting Odisha at Singapore on November 27th ‘12 to network with potential investors and business partners from Singapore. The Business summit intends to showcase the opportunities and facilities in the state of Odisha, in the east coast of India.
Odisha has abundant natural resources and a large coastline. It contains a fifth of India’s coal, a quarter of its iron ore, a third of its bauxite reserves and most of the chromite. A state with rich cultural heritage and strong religious presences of Hinduism and Buddhism. Today Odisha is seen a rising star amongst Indian states. In recent times, with the proactive approach of the Government of Odisha has become the hotbed of industrial activity and development ,witnessing fast growth and rapid progress in all spheres of life.
