Gemalto inaugurates training center on issuing secure ID documents for Omani officials

gemaltoDubai, 28th May 2015 –Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653), the world leader in digital security, announces the inauguration of a state-of-the-art Center of Excellence for the Royal Oman Police (ROP), dedicated to knowledge transfer and best practices sharing. Located on ROP premises, the center is designed to train ROP staff on technologies and issuance processes associated to eIDs and ePassports for the Sultanate’s citizens.

 

The center is equipped with the latest Gemalto technology and back-end systems needed to issue both documents. Gemalto will train ROP trainers who will pass the knowledge to their front-desk personnel.
