New Delhi, December 2015: Dr Dharminder Nagar, Managing Director of Paras Healthcare has been awarded the Dynamic Healthcare Entrepreneur Award at the prestigious Sigma Healthcare Awards for leading the multi-specialty hospital towards excellence and compassionate care.

Dr Dharminder Nagar was honored for his achievements in the field of healthcare entrepreneurship at the second edition of the prestigious at Six Sigma Healthcare Awards at the World Entrepreneur Summit organized this past week. The award was adjudged by a jury of eminent personalities associated with public and private healthcare, government establishments and healthcare consultancies. The award highlighted the contribution of a personality who has been able to set up a new mark in the healthcare industry with a unique philosophy and by following a distinctive approach. The Six Sigma Healthcare Awards aim to recognize the special efforts and sustained contributions of different stakeholders in the healthcare sector who have been the torchbearers of excellence, ethics, professionalism, and leadership in healthcare.

“We are very happy to receive this award as it validates the contribution and efforts made by us to better the healthcare sector of the country.  This award is an appreciation of the hard work and dedication we have towards our patients and their health. Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon has always been proactive in taking steps to provide right personnel at the right place and time in a bid to make the healthcare services affordable and accessible. We are thankful to Six Sigma Awards who recognized our contribution and honored us with the prestigious award,” said Dr Dharminder Nagar.

The jury members appreciated the vision of Paras Healthcare to bring a healthcare revolution to the hinterlands of the country and establish specialized tertiary care hospitals based on the three tenets of healthcare – Affordability, Accessibility and Quality.  The aim of Paras Healthcare is to bring specialized care to the doorstep of the common man. According to Dr Dharminder Nagar, “ It is our mission to bring the best specialists, state of the art technology and infrastructure to the Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. It is our endeavor to empower the common man living in those areas with access to tertiary care services that are at par with the metro’s so that every patient can choose preventive and curative care. This is the need of the hour as 70% of hospital expenses are out of pocket and travel and stay expenses in a location away from home further burdens the common man.”

Talking about the philosophy of Paras Healthcare, Dr Dharminder Nagar shared that, “We don’t aim at building hotels for our patients. Paras Healthcare aims at being the true partners in health. We have simple hospital buildings with patient friendly receptions and waiting area where they can feel comfortable, at ease and expect exceptional medical care. Every hospital of Paras Healthcare has similar healthcare values – provide accessible specialized care to the common man and to ensure that quality care is provided at affordable costs.”

At the grand event held at Leela Hotels, Gurgaon, on December 26, 2015 awards were given out in multiple categories, recognizing the contributions of not only the clinicians but all others people associated with healthcare delivery.

“At Paras Hospitals, we believe in working at the grassroots level with patients and their families. The idea is to provide the highest quality of healthcare that is affordable and accessible to all. We strongly believe in compassionate delivery of healthcare. Going forward the Paras Hospitals brand is working to expand our presence in smaller centres of the country which lack in quality healthcare,” added Dr Dharminder Nagar.
