Nepal has been devastated by the recent earthquakes. UN has announced that 8 million people have been affected earthquake and over 1.4 million are still in need of food. Let us extend our hands for support to the people of Nepal.
We,banglanatak dot com along with Cactus and Calcutta Rowing Club are organizing a music concert “Bhalo Theko Nepal” on Jun 5, World Environment Day at Nazrul Mancha, Kolkata. 3 top music bands of our region namely Cactus, Tanmoy Bose with Taal Tantra and Arnob & friends (from Dhaka) have joined our efforts. It is a non ticketed show, entry on invitation basis and we request for donations from all of you. Visual artists are also coming forward and donating their work and you have an opportunity to collect the same.
The entire money will be donated to the Consul General of Nepal at Kolkata to support relief efforts. Consul General of Nepal at Kolkata, Mr. Chandra Kumar Ghimire and Ms. Moe Chiba, Head of Culture-UNESCO New Delhi will be the guests of honour.
