Bangalore, Tuesday, 29th January 2013: Bangalore INDIA BIO 2013-India’s premier Biotech forum renowned for calibrating the pulse of the Biotechnology Industry will be held from February 4-6, 2013 at The Lalit Ashok, Bangalore. The 3-day event will bring together global leaders from life sciences sector for a comprehensive overview of this rapidly changing industry.

A curtain raiser was organized by the Department of Information Technology, Bio-Technology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, Vision Group on Biotechnology and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications in Bangalore today, to appraise the event details.

The event overview was given by Shri. I.S.N.Prasad, IAS – Principal Secretary to Government, Dept. of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, in the presence of Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairperson, Karnataka’s Vision Group on Biotechnology & CMD – Biocon Ltd.

The 13th edition of Bangalore INDIA BIO will be inaugurated by Shri. Jagadish Shettar- Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka and the Guests of Honour will include dignitaries like Mr. Mark Lytle, Division Director, Georgia Centers of Innovation; Georgia, Department of Economic Development, Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Ms. Anne MacColl – CEO, Scottish Development International, Scotland and Prof. K.
