ASBAH, a leading food / staple brand continues its social initiative of “Women Empowerment” by lending hand to a duo of very talented power lifters from UP – Ms. Anjani and Ms. Preeti.
At 17 years, Anjani daughter of a subsistence farmer is an intense “Sub-Junior Category” Power lifter in the 47kg weight class. Hailing from a small dusty village from Chandauli District in Uttar Pradesh, Anjani has set her sights of becoming an International Champion in Power lifting. She has won the Gold Medals in U.P. Power lifting Championships held in Lucknow and U.P.Bench Press Power lifting Championships held in Modinagar in May and February 2016 respectively. In November 2015, she won the Silver Medal in U.P.Powerlifting Championships (Unequipped) held in Aligarh.
Preeti a “Junior Category” power lifter in the 43kg weight class from Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh is full of passion and confidence. She lacks funds and proper training, but this has not deterred her from winning many tournaments. Preeti too has won the Gold Medals in U.P.Powerlifting Championships held in Lucknow and U.P.Bench Press Power lifting Championships held in Modinagar in May and February 2016 respectively. In November 2015, she won the Silver Medal in U.P.Powerlifting Championships held in Aligarh.
