Amruda NairJanuary 19th, 2017: Aiana Hotels & Resorts is set to open its first property in Saudi Arabia, AIANA Makkah in time for Ramadan and Haj, 2017. The hotel will provide functional, 594 well-appointed rooms, efficient and warm service inspired by Indian service ethos and dining options that will feature signature dishes from the Middle East, Indian sub-continent, Far East and North Africa. Aiana Hotels & Resorts is a hospitality brand of upper upscale hotels that offers fresh, relevant product design and facilities customized to the traveller of today with traditional Indian hospitality values.

Intuitively anticipating the needs of families and groups that visit Makkah for holy pilgrimage, the hotel is designed specifically to deliver comfort to its guests during their long stays. Located in Aziziyah, the hotel will offer a shuttle facility to Masjid Al Haram at no cost for the pilgrims. Other facilities include prayer rooms connected with a direct line from the Al Haram sound system; reflexology centres operated by trained therapists and an all-day restaurant. The services at the hotel have been carefully designed with separate facilities for both genders.

“We are encouraged by the announcement that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has increased the annual Haj quota for Indian’s by 25% in 2017. The announcement from Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi confirming the expansion comes at a time when we are preparing to launch AIANA Makkah as the first hotel in Makkah to offer Indian hospitality. We are conscious of the deep religious sentiment that drives millions of devout pilgrims to the Holy City of Makkah every year and our key focus will be to offer a comfortable and seamless experience while being mindful of the austere nature of their travel. With 590 rooms and 4 suites, AIANA Makkah is ideally located near the City Centre with direct connectivity to the Masjid Al Haram, and will offer clear views of the Hajj ritual site” said Amruda Nair, Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Aiana Hotels & Resorts.
